Chicken (Djaj) Tagine - cooked in the oven - Moroccan recipe

Slow cooking chicken stew is loaded with flavors and spices


Ingredients: 2 tablespoons olive oil, chicken, 2 big onion, 2 - 3 garlic cloves, coriander, 1 tsp. Ginger Powder, 1 tsp. Cumin, 1 tsp. Paprika, 1 tsp. Curcuma & 1/2 tsp. Safran. Salt & pepper according to your taste.



Mix spices and add pepper & salt according to your taste. Rub chicken with mixture, cover, refrigerate, and marinate 1 to 4 hours or overnight.


Place onion into Tagine add a bit of salt and Curcuma.


Put the chicken on onions and add some cherry tomatoes.



Cooke 45 min, 200 °C, or until chicken is done.





Serve with bread to soak up all the yummy juice.
